If you bought refundable ticket, you will be able to get refund. However, it may be different from regular travel insurance that don’t cover cancellation especially due to the fear of Coronavirus spread. Today, many travelers opt for Cancel for Any Reason or CFAR. Credit card coverage

If you book using your credit cards, you can check your provider if they have automatic travel insurance and whether or not you will be covered. It is quite tricky to buy the right travel insurance because there is no one-size-fits-all policy. If you are planning to buy travel insurance, it is suggested to read the contract thoroughly until you comprehend everything.

If you have booked a flight and want to reschedule talk to the airline to see if it is possible. Several airline such as Frontier, Delta, United, and JetBlue have been waiving change fees for flights specially purchased between certain dates. Thus, you can just ask the airline to see what they can do for you to deal with the current situation following the outbreak.

Actually, it is not the flight that puts you at risk of getting infected by the Coronavirus. The air on plane is actually pretty clean because it gets circulated through HEPA Filters. Besides, the Coronavirus is not airborne because it is transmitted through body fluids or mucus of the affected. Picking up the virus during travel is highly possible so some adjustments are needed to keep you safe.
