Choose reputable and trusted travel agency

It is a must that at least you know about the bus you are going to use for your trip. Look up the information about the company in advance so you know if they have their buses in good condition for travel, or if they follow routine of maintenance, etc. This kind of information can help you remove all fears about travelling by bus.

Wear the seat belts (if available)

Some buses come with seat belts for passengers to wear. However, some don’t. if you ride a bus that has no seat belts, choose your seat carefully. It is more recommended that you choose a seat that has more of a gap between your seat and the one in front. Hence, it reduce the chance of hitting your head to the back of the front seat. More gaps also allows you to stay comfortable just in case the front seater decide to recline their seat during the trip.

Be mindful with your luggage

Travelling by bus requires you to be more mindful with your luggage since buses have limited space for it. Also, it is best to stow any hand luggage so it will not fly around uncontrollably when the buses jolt its passengers.

Stay hydrated

To stay comfortable, get enough drink during bus trip. It is more recommended that you bring your own bottled-water to prevent you from dehydration. Pack some snacks as well especially if you have such a long-haul ride. Always stay aware of your surroundings to make sure that you are travelling just safely.

What to do with potential accident

If there is a call out than an accident is about to happen, brace your head to reduce the potential for whiplash. If it is frontal accident, place the open palm of your hands in front of your face to protect your head.
